Brave New Girl by Rachel Vincent
I don’t know if I can be objective when it comes to Rachel Vincent and her novels. Everything she does makes my soul so happy. I’m late to the party with this one too. But that’s ok, all good things come to those who wait. I really enjoyed reading this book, it was her first novel in a sci-fi world and outside of the normal of urban fantasy. Dahlia is 1 of 1500 girls who look exactly the same, but they don’t only look the same they are the same, genetically. She is one of 1500 clones who look the same in a compound where they are trained to do…

Spectacle by Rachel Vincent
Oh my, so in case you’re new around her, one of my favourite authors is Rachel Vincent. And I’ve followed her around (without being or sound at all stalkerish) for close to 13 years, since I picked up her debut novel by chance. If you don’t know what I’m talking about go and hunt down her Shifter series. You’ll thank me later. Anyway, I’m trying not to digress here because today I’m talking about Spectacle the stunning sequel to her novel Menagerie. And in case you’ve missed that one, check out this post to find out what I thought about that book. We pick up where we left off at…

Menagerie by Rachel Vincent
Ok, so many of you know that my favourite author is Rachel Vincent (and if you don’t you now know) and I’ve followed her career and freaking loved every book she’s brought out and while I used to be really on top of her releases I fell behind a little when life got a little too busy for me, but that’s also pretty much an excuse, I know it, anyway I’m digressing before I even really start. I want to talk about Rachel’s book Menagerie, I followed along on Twitter as she spoke about how much of a mammoth challenge this book was and it wasn’t until I read it…

Blind Tiger by Rachel Vincent
Anyone that knows me that I will push Rachel’s books on you in anyway shape or form. I have most of them collected away (okay I am missing a few, but I’m working on it) and I was most excited when this amazing author decided that she wanted to put out more Shifter stories. Do you know how freaking excited I was? I literally did a chair dance and then a physical dance and then waited with baited breath for the announcement. But I think I was most excited by fact that she was going to self-publish the series and take full control over what happened in it the books…

What My Reading Binge Taught Me
I learned something powerful in the midst of my dinner today, I’ve been on an emotional bender for the last few days, having severely brake downs and actually felt the true loss of my father. Bare with me here, I know I’ve covered this already a bit, but this feels different. For two months I smiled and almost slept through what happened. It was denial, pure and simply put, I mean I knew it had happened but I was refusing to believe it. Part of me still wants to believe it and I think that writing will bring him back, but if I could I would write a hundred million…
