Sharing Sunday – Child of the Night
Today’s Sharing Sunday piece is by a poet who resides in the Americas again! Americans really rock. Here’s his poem, make sure you check out his stuff down the bottom he has a few books out and some links for you guys to check him out. Child of the Night I have to wonder now and then as the dreams I once held divine Have left me just like other men to age and wither on the vine Where once I thought that I would be so much further along in life Now the dreams that I once could see so cut me quick just like a knife Perhaps the…

Sharing Sunday – Echoes
Today’s Sharing Sunday piece is by Gabriela and it’s a poem! Yay for mixed pieces other than short stories. It’s called Echoes and when she was thinking up the poem she had a picture in her mind of a huge dark, endless empty room, and trying to put those images into words. It was only after writing the first sentence did she realise how much of a metaphor that empty room was. After that the poem became a little more personal. So without anymore waffling from me here is Echoes. Echoes There’s silence, only silence.Nothingness, and nothing more. And yet, the nothingness is crushing,And the lull, a deafening roar. There’s blackness, utter darkness And…

Sharing Sunday – Jorja’s Poem
This weeks Sharing Sunday piece is one by a family friend of mine. His daughter, Jorja, has Angelman Syndrome and hasn’t had the easiest of starts to life but that doesn’t make her any more beautiful. I’ve watched her grow from a baby and it’s astounding at how tall she is and how gorgeous and room brightening her smile is. She truly is a joy to be around. I should warn you, this poem made me teary, so make sure you bring some tissues along for the ride. Leave Vange a message in the comments and if you’re interested in helping find a cure, reach out, educate people, it helps.…

Sharing Sunday – Nightfall
My beautiful friend Av is my first victim dreamer for my weekly Sharing Sunday segment and I have to say that I love her. She is such a beautiful and authentic soul that it’s hard not to smile around her pixie like self. Please make her feel welcome and enjoy what she has for us today, it’s truly sizzling. Nightfall by Avrille Bylok-Collard Are lovers meant to be like this? Figures that dance in clandestine shadows to dissolve in the morning light, like salt in a beaker or fluttering lenses in the night? There are many things I’d sacrifice to press my palms against yours in the full summer sun, caressing your…
