NaNoWriMo 2018

It’s here again!

NaNoWriMo is here and I’m way too busy this year to try and smash out a ridiculous amount of works and stay sane. Ha! I got a promotion at my retail work and I’ll be deep in my training for my new position as a lighting designer and I’m way excited about it, also a little nervous, but it’s the good kind of nervous!

And while I’ll be doing my training it happens to be smack back on a day that I’m at work but that’s not going to stop me.

This year I’m revisiting Travis’s book, for the third time. Maybe this will be the charm? I’m hoping. I feel like we’ve gotten over what happens in the future. I have to work on his present and I’m ready.

2018 NaNoWriMo also is the year of my tenth NaNo. And that is something that is so exciting because thanks to it I’ve managed to pump out a lot of my first drafts for my series, if not all of them. Damaged Cracks is the last one that is left and I’m so excited about that. But also there’s this heavy cloud because Travis and I never see eye to eye and we’re going to have to because he needs to get his story done so I can keep going on with the edits.

Damaged Cracks is a dual narrated novel that’s in first person narration. Travis is a werewolf and he’s trying to stay afloat in his father’s pack while trying to carve out his own. His half sister Cassandra makes it harder for him to survive and nearly ends his life but he fights back and wins his place in the pack. Meanwhile, Milena, is a shaman and the daughter of the Lieutenant of the Melbourne Police. She is a seer and Travis is in her dreams day in and day out.

They’ve never met. But they will and their paths will intertwined. Travis and Milena will be the start of something that can’t be stopped and they’ll change the fate of wolves forever.

I’m not sure how far I’ll get but I’m hoping to finish it and I’m hoping to do so with enough time to start working on my Rapture rewrite because I want to get that guy out of the way, but as I do that I have to edit my last uni assignment, lucky that’s almost mostly done.

Are you doing NaNoWriMo? Leave me a post it down below (bonus points if you leave your NaNoWriMo name and I’ll follow your progress x)
