Reading Wrap Up

reading wrap up

I’ve decided to do a round up of links that I read, because sometimes I get a little carried away and excited because, seriously, there’s SO much goodness out there. And it’s really hard to get around to reading a lot of it. Lately I’ve been reading random Elephant Journal pieces that pop up in my feed. But I feel like you guys need to know what’s happening and what I’m reading. This is also going to include novels, because I always have a novel around with me. I’m still reading my way through Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter novels and I’m currently up to Dream Chaser which is both good and frustrating. I’m a book away from a major character and I’m dying to read it. I wanted to initially skip these but they’re a nice rest in between the series.  I’m not very far into it but so far it’s pretty damn good.

I also really adore this lady, she is one of the lucky ladies that I clicked with from BEBH and I edited her great e-book (you should totally sign up to her newsletter to get that goodie!) anyway, I’m get derailed here. Her latest post about the nuggets she got from her 2 day workshop with Tara Bliss and Rachel McDonald were amazing. You should check it out over here: 10 Pearls of Infinite Wisdom from Tara Bliss and Rachel McDonald.

Christine at Better Novel Project, is kind of a baus. She pulls apart archetypes of stories and writes about them. It’s actually pretty awesome. I was scanning through her site and found this lovely gem on shapeshifters and I was instantly taken by it (as I have a shapeshifter in my novel) she has a really cool take on how they don’t work. Take a look at the 3 roles of the Shapeshifting Archetype on her site.

Lastly I’ve been slowly trying to take in all of Leah’s words at Paper Planes Connect. I try to get myself reading at least one post a week from someone who is Bloghearted. I don’t always comment but I do try my damned hardest because the group is there to support and I want to support all of the beautiful ladies in that group.

So that’s it! That’s what I’m reading this week. This may become a weekly thing (I’m going to try my hardest to make it happen!) but for not let me know what you’re reading! I want links to your books and articles so I can expand my reading!

I’m reading a book called Start Where You Are by Pema Chodron. It’s wonderful, expansive, and eye opening about how we can learn self compassion and compassion for others, in such a simple way!

Love knowing what others are reading, thanks for sharing!
